Španělsko - El Torcal This area became a Natural Park in 1989 and it is formed partially of the limestone. It is one of the most important carst landscapes in the whole Europe. There are four different areas: Sierra Pelada, Torcal Alto, Torcal Bajo and Tajos and Laderas.

Together they form a genuine museum of natural sculptures modeled over the centuries. The result of the limestone rock’s erosion is originated on the seabed during the Jurassic period - cca 150 million years ago. It is also botanically interested as the area is home for more than 650 species of plant. You can admire the magnificent views of Villanueva de la Concepcion from the viewpoint of Las Ventanillas - the region of Campanillas River and Málaga. It is even possible to see the African Coast on clear days. Torcal de Anetquera (Natural Park) is considered to be unique in the world due to its unusual limestone rock formations. Its area have been used in science fiction films many times. You can easily get lost while walking in its labyrinth of rocks, valleys, passages and narrow passes.
